The Resources for HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive Health Integration combine selected resources drawn from four unique databases from the INFO Project and the Health Communication Partnership at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. You can search all of them combined, each one separately, or a combination that best meets your needs simply by indicating your choices in the checkbox. All materials in the database were selected based on their relevance to the integration of services for HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive Health. The four databases include:
- POPLINE - the world's largest database on reproductive health, provides more than 335,000 citations with abstracts to scientific articles, reports, books, and unpublished reports in the field of population, family planning, HIV/AIDS, and related health issues. Some include links to full text. You can also limit your search to peer-reviewed journal articles. To search POPLINE, select "Documents" for the search.
- Photoshare - a one-of-a-kind online photo collection covering a broad range of subjects in international development, with a focus on public health. Photoshare currently contains more than 10,000 images related to global health, which can be ordered for use on Web sites, in presentations, for publications and personal use. To search PHOTOSHARE only, select "Photos" for the search.
- The Health Communication Materials Database - the world's largest collection of health communication materials hosted by the Media/Materials Clearinghouse (M/MC). To search only for communication materials, select "Communication Materials" for the search.
- Netlinks - an online database of over 2,000 organizations working in global health and development with up-to-date contact information and Web site links. To search Netlinks only select "Organizations / Web Sites" for the search.
If no checkboxes are selected, the database searches all four resources.
How to Order Free Full Text Documents and Photos from the Database
- Developing country users can request full-text copies of many documents in the Integration Resources database. Links are also provided to free full-text documents in the database and throughout the web site. Anyone can order photos.
- Documents are free of charge to developing country users and can be sent either by airmail or as e-mail attachments. To receive documents by e-mail, you must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader software to view and print the documents and an Internet e-mail account that can receive large file attachments.
- To order full text documents and photos, use the Document Delivery Request Basket. This basket allows users to make a preliminary selection of documents, which can be viewed and edited before submitting a final order.
- To get started, perform a search in the database. On the next screen, click on the Add to Basket button to add each item you would like to order to your basket. Once you have added one or more items (documents or photos) to your basket, you can open your basket to view and edit your selections. To open the basket, click on View Basket in the upper right corner of the screen. When you are ready to finalize your document request, click on Request Checked Items to move to a request form. Complete the form and submit it. You will receive an e-mail confirming your order.
